This Momma knew exactly what she wanted for Mother’s Day – pictures of her and her boy amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. She said her son has “Photographer Child Syndrome” (she also is a photographer), which essentially means that your child will refuse to look at the camera if you’re the one behind it. I’ve determined her observation is likely true, as when I was behind the camera, he was very good at looking right my lens with the cheekiest of smiles!
I was so happy to photograph this lovely woman in frame with her loving husband and their beautiful boy. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have these memories for yourself and for your family to remember. To so many people, giving comes so naturally, especially to our children; but we should never forget to give to ourselves. So to every mother out there, please get in frame – you deserve it!
