I’m loving what we captured with this dapper little gent and his cute-as-a-button baby sister. This was supposed to be a kids-only portrait session, but I encouraged the parents to join in on the session for a few shots, and I’m so glad I did!
Great parents bring out the best in their children; they provide an ease and assurance that sets the tone for the shoot. As a bonus, their grandmother was there for the shoot as well, and I couldn’t help but pull her in too! The kids obviously have a connection to their grandmother (who has been a live-in primary caregiver since birth for both children) which is as deep as that of their parents – it’s beautiful to see and capture. This family is doing it right. As I captured them I could see the beautiful bonds they’ve created across three generations. What more could you ask for during a shoot?
