The Nguyen Family | Volunteer Park, Seattle, WA

October 8, 2016

I’m in love with the colors in this fall kick-off shoot! Ever clothing-coordinated by Mom in complementary colors and textures, the Nguyen’s beauty (both inside and out) and love for each other is so easy to spot. Fall leaves were not in full swing the weekend of our shoot (last Sunday) at Volunteer Park in Seattle, but when the evening light hits the leaves just right, you can see the bright yellow and orange hues of an approaching autumn.

Get out there and look around, fall colors (the deep reds) are starting to pop up in various spots in the Seattle area. I’ve been seeing so many inspirational spots here on the eastside in Redmond, and have been posting them on my instagram @83luxphoto – depending on my girls’ dispositions/moods, I hope to post more!

A year ago, a bunch of friends asked me to take their fall family photos (I had been a hobbyist for years) – the Nguyens were the first to schedule me for a shoot, so how fitting it is to be photographing their beautiful faces again exactly a year later.  It has been a wonderful year delving into photography; learning and growing in a new space and taking whatever comes my way. Thank you to everyone who I’ve had the good fortune to photograph this year – whether you know it or not, you have all helped me learn and grow in insurmountable ways. Here’s to another year of taking some beautiful shots with beautiful/kind/generous people!
