A shoot with this family is always a must on my calendar – they are the sweetest family of five and the boys are always so much fun. I tasked the boys with finding all the hidden pumpkins at this location; little scavenger hunts while we shoot always keeps the kids engaged, and helps the group move from one spot to another. Ultimately, I want to come away with great and fun photos for the parents, all the while having the kids to come away knowing they had lots of fun with their family!
This was my second time shooting at this particular location, and actually within my own city (very rare)! I take my girls here all the time just photograph them without having to drive out too far. I always felt that location just didn’t pack enough wow factor for clients, but I wrong! I ended up choosing this location for this family as it was incredibly hard to social distance at some of my favorite session locations this summer; I just wasn’t comfortable bringing clients to a location that may already be crowded. And at any location I wanted to make sure that not only clients were safe, but that EVERYONE around us was safe as well during these strange and uncertain times. And so one of my newest and most charming little spots to shoot in was born out of necessity; and so for a challenging year like 2020, it is one thing that I can add to my list of things to be thankful for!
